Being real. What is being real? It’s about being authentic...not fake or superficial. It’s about learning to wholly live like Jesus and be wholly His. Now we realize this is no small task and we must admit we don’t have “everything figured out”, if you do please let us know.

So, how do we live and lead this authentic life? We as leaders seek to follow Christ more each day and we take teenagers along on our journey; through study, accountability, serving and living life with each other in community. We have this idea that discipleship, evangelism and spiritual growth happens outside our buildings walls. We are trying to grasp and live with the concept that we are the church whether we’re in our building or at the ball field. Instead of going back into the world alone each week, we’re seeking ways to journey together.

To see teenagers realize their place in God’s ongoing story and teach them to seek the abundance that exists in a relationship with each other, their Creator, their Savior and the Holy Spirit; therefore creating worshippers of the One true God.  These authentic worshippers of God would learn to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ helping to show his salvation and restoration to our world today.  They would be disciples who are known by their love.

Teach the Word
Our mission is to teach the Bible in its entirety as the infallible Word of God, showing God’s story and teaching how we are an active part in this story today.  Understanding the relationships that were established in the Bible and understanding how our relationships today relate.  We want to show the Word of God as authoritative.  Explaining how Scripture is true, that it is from God and why it should have authority in our lives.  Finally, we desire to teach that each person is gifted.  Scriptures specifically state that each person has been given gifts and the call we have to act on these gifts.
Relationships
We want to teach students how to have peace with God and others.  This peace (shalom) with others is rare in our modern culture yet is so essential to a relationship with God.  We want to teach teenagers to enjoy God and each other, to be open with God and with others, to really be authentic and up-front.  We want to show how worship is in integral part of a relationship with God and how worshipping God as a community is healthy and rewarding.
Service

We want to teach teenagers to put others before themselves.  The best way to do this is to serve others.  We want to take our community (church) to the world, not try and bring the world to church.  We hope to intentionally take our students out of our walls and do normal stuff in the world.  Such as; prayer breakfast in a public restaurant, open conversations about God in public places, taking sports activities to parks and schools while simply living like Christ and engaging, not conforming, to the culture as we go.

It is commanded in the Bible to seek the widows and orphans, we to feel a call to seek out those in need.  To find those with real needs and to love them.  Our goal is to build relationships with a group of people and intentionally be involved in their lives on a regular basis.  Today time is more valuable than money and the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.  We must be the workers.  There is also a call to serve each other, our church.  To serve the families, facilities and land that God has provided us with.
