At Mt View we believe that we have been called by Jesus to be on Mission. This is inside of, and more importantly, outside of the walls of the church. We seek to make Disciples of everyone who would come to Mt View. But how do we know we have been successful? Well, the answer might be easier to find than we think. We believe we are success at making Disciples when those people go out and begin to make Disciples. Jesus gave us a charge that we believe to be the driving force behind out mission.
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,  teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20

This is the “why” behind our Mission, but what about the “how?” We look to another verse to be the “how” to our Mission efforts.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Acts 1:8

We believe we are to be intentionally sharing the Good News of Jesus with people all around us. Not only locally, but to the “Ends of the Earth.”

Below is a listing of current and former opportunities to share the Good News of Jesus with the world!

---Local

Backpack Buddies

This is a ministry to our local elementary school Mt View Elementary. Each week we prepare a take home bag with meals to get the kids through the weekend. The school works closely with kids to determine needs. You can be a part by donating monies to cover the cost of these meals.

Cane Ridge High School Band

We support the band by providing shirts for them each year. We also feed them before a home game each month of the football season. You can be a part by serving at one of our meals, donating to offset costs of the shirts or food, and by going to games to watch and cheer for the band as they perform.

252 – Van Ministry

We send vans out into the community on a weekly basis for our Wednesday Night Kids and Student Programming. Our desire is to see the kids, teens, and families of our local community come to know and love Jesus!

Human Trafficking

There are more slaves today in our world than at any other time in history. We believe that God desires these victims to be set free. We have partnered with several local organizations in the fight against this evil in our world.

New Life Mission

We have partnered with New Life Mission in Hamilton, Ohio to help them serve the homeless and less fortunate in the Cincinnati Area. This mission prepares meals and hands out needed items such as clothes and toiletries. They also offer counseling and crisis pregnancy services.

---International

Toronto

We have set up a partnership with a church plant in Toronto to help them reach their community for Christ. We hope to take a few trips per year. This is a less expensive trip for international missions so that many can participate. Get involved by going and serving the people of Toronto

Operation Christmas Child

Each year we partner with Samaritan’s Purse for Operation Christmas Child. This is an opportunity for you to impact a child somewhere in the world who would not receive a gift for Christmas. The best part of this ministry is that these kids hear the Gospel of Jesus, many for the first time.
