
DU 240: Basic Theology
The purpose of this course is to familiarize the Christ-follower with basic biblical theology. In this course, the student will learn our foundational beliefs and why, biblically, we hold to them. As with most of our Discipleship University Courses, this is a 13-week study that goes towards the Apprenticeship Degree.
COURSE LAYOUT:
Session 1: Introduction to Theology and “What is the Bible?”
Session 2: “What is God Like?” and “What is the Trinity?”
Session 3: “What is Creation?” and “What is Prayer?”
Session 4: “What are Angels, Satan, and Demons?”
Session 5: “What is Man?” and “What is Sin?”
Session 6: “Who is Christ?”
Session 7: “What is the Atonement?” and “What is the Resurrection?”
Session 8: “What is Election?”
Session 9: “What Does it Mean to Become a Christian?” and “What are Justification and Adoption?”
Session 10: “What are Sanctification and Perseverance?”
Session 11: “What is Death?” and “What is the Church?”
Session 12: “What will Happen when Christ returns?”
Session 13: “What is the Final Judgment?” and “What is Heaven?”
